Why do so many of us struggle to find joy in solitude?

Not long ago, while visiting my sons in New York City, I found myself walking alone through the busy streets surrounded by people, yet entirely unknown. Strangely, the chaos and noise didn't overwhelm me; instead, they became part of a quiet kind of freedom. With no one paying attention to who I was, I felt a rare permission to simply be myself.

Still, in the midst of that solitude, I caught myself searching for a sign of connection glance, a smile, but none came along. I saw a message writed on the sidewalk that read "Love Never Sleeps" and In that moment, a deep sense of empathy hit me. We all live in our own thoughts and then all I could hear were the steps and noises of distant strangers.
